I know: It's a long time coming.  I appreciate all the support, enthusiasm, and patience as I figured out what the hell I was doing.  But it's here, it's gorgeous, it's pretty cheap, and you can buy it now.

WHERE DOES MY $11 GO?

Great question.  Roughly half of that $11 will cover printing costs, shipping materials, & service fees.  The other half will be split as follows: 

• 30% of profits will support the First Nations' COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund and the NDN Collective's LANDBACK Campaign.
• 20% will support the printing of physical community copies for classrooms, local libraries, and individuals.
• 50% will support the author.

Every purchase will contribute five digital community copies to the itch.io store.

ARE THERE STRETCH GOALS?

Yup.

My top priority: Getting you a beautiful book at a reasonable price.  My second priority: Doing some good with your money.  After that: Sure, let's do some stretch goals. 

• When 10 copies are sold, we will upgrade to premium print and paper quality.  (We're talking paper poundage in the triple-digits, y'all.)
• When 100 copies are sold, I will produce an official Long Haul 1983 audio book.
• When 200 copies are sold, I will write & release a free game: "Rig," a standalone prequel to Long Haul 1983 using the Lost & Found SRD. 

WHAT ABOUT THAT PRINT-ON-DEMAND PLAN?

Back in the spring, I told folks I would be offering a print-on-demand version of the book & sell it at cost.  After many headaches, I just couldn't find a print-on-demand offering that I found acceptable.  Blurb got the closest -- the book looked beautiful -- but their customer service was a nightmare.  So I decided to order a print run & handle it all myself.

A single Blurb book would cost you $10.23 for printing and at least $8.99 for shipping.

I'm selling copies for $11 + shipping ($3.50 for US).  I think that's pretty fair.  However, if you need/want to cut that price down, just send me a message (on here, Twitter, etc.).  I'll provide you with a coupon code that removes my share of the profits from your purchase, but maintains the money that will go to fundraising and community efforts.
